Finally we have some insight into Chris’ anger issues. The ‘X’ artist has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, severe insomnia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which are all factors in his highly publicized bad behavior, according to new court docs.
The reasons behind Chris Brown‘s bad boy behavior were revealed when he went to court on Feb. 28 for a progress hearing in the Rihanna assault case. Apparently Chris’ aggression over the years was caused by an “untreated mental health disorder,” among other psychological issues, according to documents filed by the rehabilitation facility where Chris just completed 95 days of anger management therapy.
Chris Brown: Bipolar Disorder Causing Bad Behavior — Rehab Offical Reveals
An official from Chris’ rehab facility writes in legal documents obtained by TMZ: “Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.”
The letter reveals that Chris has been diagnosed with Bipolar II, and says he is now on medication for that disorder, as well as other conditions. Chris is also treating his issues with relaxation exercises, and he’s tested negative for all drugs, including weed, during his rehab stint, according to the letter. The documents do not explain the reason behind his PTSD.
The rehab facility says Chris has been doing well and working hard, according to TMZ. “Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities.”
