WWE Elimination Chamber — Randy Orton Is World Heavyweight Champ
Randy took no prisoners as he punched and power-slammed his way to a win during the Elimination Chamber match in Minneapolis on Feb. 23.
Randy handed Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Christian his own special brand of whoop-ass in the match commonly known as “Satan’s Prison.”
Previously, Randy had suffered four losses within three weeks, so becoming World Heavyweight Champ was a huge comeback for him. One of those losses came at the hands of John Cena during an episode of WWE’s Monday Night Raw on Feb. 10, so Randy was definitely out for blood this time around!
Randy Orton Retains Title Wins Elimination Chamber Match
The previous loss to John made Sunday night a night of redemption for Randy, and in very tough circumstances.
Triple H, a veteran wrestler for the WWE, said that the Elimination Chamber match is “real,” and that it’s often hard to pull out a win like Randy did on Sunday, reports the WWE.
“It’s not something we hype up,” Triple H said. “The concern is legit. They couldn’t have made it any more difficult for us to work in if they tried.”
Well, they say whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, and Randy is going to need all of his new found strength from this win as he heads to WrestleMania XXX on April 6. After this victory he has painted himself as the clear favorite to take home another title.
What do you think HollywoodLifers, is Randy going to be ready for the big battle of WrestleMania, or was his Elimination Chamber match just a fluke?
