According to designer Naeem Khan, 55, the inspiration for his most recent collection consisted of looks inspired by old-school Cabaret– think Liza Minnelli circa 1972, with an elegant and modern twist! The show, which debuted on Feb. 11 during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, included luxurious, (and heavy!), crepe fabrics adorned with intricate gold embroidery — and we could not help but think that each design screamed Hollywood glamour!
The designer created one masterpiece after the next, with his choice of deep metallic fabrics, perfectly placed sequins, and eye-catching beading — and it was the intricate detailing that’s sure to impress the designer’s famous fans. First Lady Michelle Obama, (who just so happens to be a MAJOR fan of the designer), would look stunning in a black strapless beaded gown, while Beyonce‘s curves would totally own the designer’s gold embroidered long-sleeved mini dress.
Not only did Beyonce rock the designer for her mother’s birthday party just a month before the show, but the silhouettes in the Fall 2014 collection would look amazing on her frame.

Julie Kandalec for essie complimented the stunning creations with a luxe gold nail that complimented the runway looks perfectly — we are dying to try this manicure!
So, what was the best part of the entire show? In my opinion, it was the fact that the models strutted down the runway sans jewelry or accessories, which kept the focus on the gorgeous creations. From bold prints to feathers, it was all about the details on the dresses — and the designer was smart to keep the focus on his gorgeous outfits!
