Talk about a resurrection! ‘Heroes’ is back from the dead, as a Feb. 22 promo revealed that the NBC show would be returning to TV as a 13-episode miniseries. Will you watch?

After going off the air in 2010, the Heroes team is making a comeback slated for 2015. The big news was revealed during NBC’s broadcast of the Winter Olympics on Feb. 22.

‘Heroes’ Is Making A Comeback

The promo (watch it above) featured a fade-in of the Heroes logo along with the word “Reborn” and the teasing phrase, “Coming 2015.”

Series creator Tim Kring will be at the helm as showrunner, though as of now details of the storyline are being kept under wraps. The Heroes revival will be a stand-alone arc though, and a digital series will air prior to the TV return to introduce (or re-introduce) fans to the show’s characters.

“The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening,” NBC President Jennifer Salke said. “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”

The original series starred Hayden PanettierreZachary QuintoJack ColmanAli Larter, and Milo Ventimiglia, among others — it hasn’t yet been confirmed if any of those actors will be reprising their roles.

So what do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you glad that Heroes is coming back? Let us know!
