Ladies and gentlemen, it’s back! JT finally showed up to ‘The Tonight Show’ on Feb. 21, where he and Jimmy broke it down with the fifth installment of ‘History of Rap.’ Read on to watch!
Jimmy Fallon had a lot of great moments with Justin Timberlake as the host of Late Night, and the good times are continuing to roll as Jimmy transitions to the host of The Tonight Show. The unbeatable duo reunited on Feb. 21 to perform another installment of the fan favorite “History of Rap.”
Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake Do ‘History Of Rap 5’
This was the fifth installment of Justin and Jimmy’s “History of Rap,” so by now you know how it goes — the two stars throw together a medley of hip-hop hits starting from way back to the present day. But that makes it sound simple, what they do in this clip — combining 23 songs in just over five minutes — is not.
With high energy, JT and Jimmy cruise through old school hits like “Wild Thing” by Tone Loc and “Big Poppa” by Notorious B.I.G. to current favorites such as “Swimming Pools (Drank)” by Kendrick Lamar and Drake‘s “Started From the Bottom.” We’re also pretty big fans of how the two throw a little choreography into the performance, like when they walk that way while singing “Walk This Way.”
Justin Timberlake’s ‘Tonight Show’ Appearance
This is what Late Night fans have been waiting for all week. Jimmy’s undoubtedly had a great first week hosting The Tonight Show that’s included hilarious guest spots from Michelle Obama and cameos from Robert De Niro and Kim Kardashian, but everyone had been wondering when Justin was going to make an appearance.
He finally did on Feb. 21, and clearly, it was worth the wait. Don’t you agree, HollywoodLifers?
