Can you believe the 2014 Winter Olympics are really over? It’s been a pretty crazy couple of weeks, full of triumphant victories and crushing defeats, and now it’s finally coming to an end Feb. 23 with a massive closing ceremony. Even if you’re not into sports, everybody loves a good show, so this is not to be missed!
Olympics Closing Ceremony: Julie Chu Carrying American Flag
Team USA recently selected 31-year-old Julie Chu, a member of the women’s hockey team, to carry the American flag during the closing ceremony. This is a huge honor for any athlete, and since this is likely Julie’s final visit to the Olympics, it’s especially fitting. The first Asian-American to play on the women’s hockey team, Julie is largely considered to be one of the greatest female hockey players in the nation’s history.
HollywoodLife.com will have a live stream of the massive event Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. ET, so be sure to bookmark this page and check back then!
