Internet star Curtis Lepore broke the “really good news” on his Vine profile . . . because how else would he? In January, his girlfriend and fellow Vine celeb Jessi Smiles, accused him of raping her while she was unconscious with a concussion. Curtis and Jessi have now both spoken out on the charges.
On Feb. 21, Curtis took to Twitter to share his “good news … Really good news.” Then he linked to his Vine where he informed us that the charges were completely dropped.
“The rape charge against me has been dismissed. Thank you to my friends, my family, and all of you who stood by me and supported me through this,” he said.
His ex Jessi quickly tweeted, as well, writing: “Brb listening to “Happy” by Pharrell and dancing in my underwear for the next eternity and a half,” followed by, “Curtis plead guilty to a felony assault today in court. It is no longer going to trial. I am okay with this and thankful for it to be over.”
While Jessi is happy with him pleading guilty to felony assault, it’s clear that Curtis is not.
He won’t be charged with a felon if he has anything to say about it, even though he pled guilty. He also must have received hateful tweets since twenty minutes after he broke the news, he posted out a series of defensive messages:
News flash to everyone who is clueless about the law: a plea of guilty to a felony is NOT a conviction.

believe what you want 2 believe. I am NOT and WILL NEVER be a convicted felon and that’s a FACT. There’s a reason I can’t tell my story

But there is a reason a deal was made. Make your own conclusions from that.
