Miranda Barbour shocked the world on Feb. 14 when she revealed during an interview that she has murdered more than 23 people in 5 different states. It has now been revealed that the ‘Craigslist Killer’ also has a 2-year-old daughter who, sadly, has been at the center of a major custody battle among family members since Miranda’s arrest in November 2013.
More troubling details about Miranda Barbour have been revealed. It turns out that the 19-year-old Craigslist Killer is also the mother of a 2-year-old girl from a previous relationship. While Miranda’s murderous tales are leading news headlines everywhere, her toddler is currently being fought for in a custody battle between multiple different family members. Where is the little girl’s father while all of the horrifying chaos was going on?
Miranda Barbour Loses Custody Of 2-Year-Old Daughter
After Miranda was arrested and charged with murder for the death of 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara, her 2-year-old daughter was forced into Snyder County protective services in Pennsylvania. Once the little girl was released, a custody battle brewed among family members. Miranda’s mother, 41-year-old Elizabeth Dean, revealed to The Daily Item that she first heard of the custody battle from Miranda herself after she was served with court papers from her uncle, Arlin Fletcher.
“She called and told me about getting served the papers from my brother,” Elizabeth shared with the outlet during her interview. Elizabeth also shared that her daughter is currently residing with Miranda’s father in Texas.
Elytte Barbour Claims the Father Of Miranda’s Child Is Dead
Miranda’s husband, 22-year-old Elytte Barbour, is claiming that the father of Miranda’s 2-year-old daughter is dead. While police are currently investigating whether or not this is true, Miranda’s mother has gone on the record that this is false information. Although no one in the family seems to know his identity, Elizabeth is adamant that whoever he is, he’s alive.
“He is not dead. But we don’t know who the father is,” she said. “It could be one of several people.” Elizabeth shared during her interview with the Daily Item.
Miranda and Elytte were married in October 2013 before moving from North Carolina to Pennsylvania where they were arrested and charged for the murder of Troy LaFerrara.
