Drake is on a verbal rampage! One day after he dissed Macklemore in an interview, Drake was back at it again on Feb. 13, but this time his sights were set on Kanye West. The Canadian certainly has ‘some splainin to doooo.’
On Feb. 12, Rolling Stone revealed that Drake said that Macklemore’s Grammy apology text to Kendrick Lamar was “wack as f–k,” and Drake has not let up on his one-sided war of words. Find out what he had to say about Kanye West‘s Yeezus album below!
Drake Disses Kanye Kanye West Lyrics
In the very same interview for Rolling Stone — which hit the newsstands on Feb. 13 — Drake not only dissed Macklemore’s Grammy text apology to Kendrick Lamar, but also said that Kanye West’s lyrical prowess on Yeezus was sketchy. Drake didn’t stop there, and went on to say that some of the bars were so horrible that other rappers wouldn’t even have said the same lyrics!
“There was some real questionable bars on there,” Drake says. “Like that ‘swaghili line? Come on, man. Even Fabolous wouldn’t say some s–t like that.'”
Drake Says He’s Done With Magazine Interviews
Drake did try to back track a little, by saying that Kanye is the reason why he has a career and that he “loves everything about the guy.” He even went as far as posting a message on Twitter that paints him as being a victim of media manipulation, but we at HollywoodLife.com think that it’s too little too late. The damage has already been done. Drake keeps digging holes for himself with other artists, and who knows if he’ll be able to dig himself out of the one he made by going up against the mighty Yeezus.
I’m done doing interviews for magazines. I just want to give my music to the people. That’s the only way my message gets across accurately.
