The designer debuted her Fall 2014 collection, which defined ladylike elegance, on the runway during New York Fashion Week. After seeing the bursts of color and bold prints, it’s only a matter of time before these dresses go from the runway to the red carpet!
Carolina Herrera debuted her Fall 2014 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC on Feb. 10, where the designer sent a slew of stunning gowns and show-stopping separates down the runway. The designer is never one to shy away from incorporating color, and that’s exactly what she did for fall. From one-shoulder silhouettes to slits, the line flattered the female form — and we’re sure these frocks will be a hit on the red carpet, as well!
Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 Collection:
While some fall collections tend to be labeled boring, that can’t be said for Carolina’s collection. We loved her beautiful use of bright orange, cobalt blue and striking purple. Though the colors were louder than most Fall colors, the way in which the shades were incorporated made them totally wearable for the winter season — and these dresses are just dying for a red carpet moment! Carolina’s celeb fans, such as Olivia Munn, Emmy Rossum< and Amy Adams, would all look lovely in Carolina’s delightful designs.
Fur has been a popular trend in contemporary collections, and we found it on Carolina’s runway as well as she incorporated the textile into the collection on stoles, sweaters, and jackets. While the main focus was definitely on the glam gowns, there were also midi-length dresses that were less formal but just as chic and polished separates.
The luxe looks were complimented by a classic manicure, as Michelle Saunders of essie layered two coats of ballet slippers, creating a look that complimented all of the vibrant hues in the collection.
