‘The Biggest Loser’ trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper were visibly shocked when the show’s Feb. 4 finale crowned a dangerously thin Rachel Frederickson. The personal trainers took to Twitter to react to Rachel’s shocking transformation — and their statement speaks volumes.
It seems Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels are among the many people who think that The Biggest Loser‘s Season 15 champion, Rachel Frederickson, lost far too much weight to fit her tiny frame. Bob said in a statement that he and Jillian were “not comfortable” commenting on “Rachel’s journey,” which leads us to believe that they’re worried about her 155-pound weight loss.
Is ‘Biggest Loser’ Rachel Too Skinny? — Trainers Shocked By Extreme Weight Loss
The moment the Biggest Loser is crowned tends to be just as emotional for the trainers as it is for the contestants. Jill and Bob usually run up and hug the contestants and cry and congratulate them on their weight loss, but this time, the two trainers were openly shocked by the winner’s big reveal during the broadcast. In fact, they were so stunned that they didn’t even go up to congratulate Rachel! Here’s a look at their reaction:

Probably not the “wow” faces Rachel was hoping for. Bob and Jillian must be getting a lot of questions from fans who are concerned about Rachel’s weight loss, because Bob tweeted the following statement on Feb. 5:

Bob and Jill’s unspoken concern is understandable. Rachel falls below a healthy BMI, for the first time in Biggest Loser history. She has been keeping mum on her extreme weight loss and has just been saying how happy she is, but Bob and Jillian’s refusal to speak out at this point speaks volumes.
‘Biggest Loser’ Rachel On Shocking Weight Loss: ‘I Need To Find Balance’
Rachel dropped from an unhealthy 260 lbs to an also semi-unhealthy 105 lbs during the season’s run.
She caught up with Today reporters the night before the big show, and when they asked her about her shocking transformation, she admitted that it was time to find a little “balance” now that she has this newly svelte figure.
“I’m at the maintenance point now, so I need to find some balance and make sure I work out and I eat healthy and make good choices 90 percent of the time,” she told Today after the finale. “I’m not sure [I’ll maintain this weight], but I plan to try new exercises and just continue on this path and see where that takes me.”
We hope Rachel will find the healthy balance she’s looking for, and continue on her journey to optimum health.
