The singer’s mother, Bernadette, 55, died over the summer and he made sure to let the world know how special she was by writing her name in huge letters across his drum set.
Bruno Mars‘ Super Bowl halftime show was bittersweet, he had an awesome performance yet he his biggest fan wasn’t there in the crowd. The Hawaiian native headlined the halftime show and made sure to place his mother, Bernadette Bayot‘s name, wrapped around a heart, on his drum set. It was so sweet and we couldn’t help but feel a little sad for Bruno in that moment!

The 28-year-old lost his mother, 55, to a brain aneurysm in June 2013, and he clearly wanted to let the world know just how special he thought she was.
His mother would have been so proud, he took the stage like a pro and danced the night away. Bruno performed his hits: “Billionaire,” “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Treasure” and “Runaway Baby,” along with his band the The Hooligans. His singing was perfect, his dancing was flawless and his million dollar smile stole the hearts of every woman watching!
