When Justin fled to Panama on Jan. 25, it appeared that he was just continuing his wild vacation. However, his mother Pattie Mallette, his mentor Usher, his manager Scooter Braun, and his best friends Ryan Good and Ryan Butler have all been spotted there as well, suggesting that Panama may be the designated location for a summit to get Justin back on track.
After Justin Bieber was arrested for DUI and drag racing on Jan. 23, many fans (including us) called out for the singer’s closest friends and family to sit him down and urge him to either go to rehab, get help, or just stop the antics. Thankfully, that appears to finally be happening, as all of the people closest and most influential to Justin — Pattie Mallette, Usher, Scooter Braun, Ryan Butler and Ryan Good — met the singer in Panama on Jan. 25 for a reported sit-down.
Pattie Mallette, Usher & More Fly To See Justin Bieber
What initially appeared to be a blow-off vacation with the sexy model Chantel Jeffries, now looks like a much more serious trip. All of Justin’s closest friends and family have converged in Panama — as evidence by a multitude of fan photos — and they’re likely not just there to get a tan.
The group is hoping to get Justin to see the error of his ways, according to TMZ. And while the word intervention has reportedly not been used, the spirit of the meeting is sure to be similar. It’s not yet clear whether Justin’s mom and the others want him in rehab, or if they just want him to slow his lifestyle down.
Justin Bieber: Will He Finally Get Help?
But after Justin’s DUI arrest on Jan. 23 — which came on top of his egg-throwing scandal and reports of rampant drug use — this is what needed to happen. The people who Justin really listens to, the people who aren’t just yes men — his mom, Scooter, Usher, the guy who taught him everything, and both Ryans, friends he can really trust — have to look him in the eyes and tell him that some things need to change.
It’s going to be an uphill battle, but the fact that all of these huge influences have surrounded Justin again is a very good sign. What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
