As one of the more beloved personalities on A&E’s Shipping Wars, celebs and fans alike were shocked and saddened when it was announced that Roy Garber had passed away on Jan. 17 following a major heart attack. Many took to Twitter to send heartfelt condolences and messages of grieving.

A&E released a statement on Jan. 19 that read:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family. Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.
Shipping Wars has just finished airing its fifth season, so Roy’s fanbase has had plenty of time to get to know the departed star, which has made the Twitter reaction to his passing away all the more heartbreaking.
Robbie Welsh, Roy’s co-star on the hit show, had this to say:
