Aisha Tyler took the stage at the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards — and she was absolutely hysterical! Not only did she look amazing, but she had some great chemistry with the audience.
It was a huge night for movies. The Critics Choice Awards was swarmed with the biggest names in film and Aisha Tyler made sure to highlight each and every one of them — she even called out the Academy for snubbing certain stars on Oscar noms!
Aisha Tyler Hosts Critics Choice Awards
Aisha knows a thing or two about hosting — she’s the host of Whose Line is it Anyway? So, it’s not that surprising that she completely nailed it hosting the Critics’ Choice Awards.
She looked stunning throughout the show, even though she changed multiple times but we absolutely loved her webbed diamond bangle by Nanis Italian Jewels and a diamond ring and earrings by L’Dezen Jewellery.
Right in the beginning she hit on Matthew McConaghey as well as Bruce Dern, who both landed Academy Award nominations. She also called out someone who didn’t get a nom.
“I would never snub you,” she told Tom Hanks, who we all agreed that totally got snubbed for his epic role in Captain Phillips.
But it wasn’t just during the opening that Aisha cracked jokes!
Aisha Tyler Joins Audience
During the show, Aisha made her way through the crowd, sitting with different celebs, including Amy Adams and Bradley Cooper at the American Hustle table and Julia Roberts and Harvey Weinstein at the August Osage County table.
She cracked jokes that Meryl Streep was in the bathroom and that she was sure that she peed gold! (I mean, that makes sense.)
I’ve got to say my favorite part of the show was when she introduced my main man, Ian Somerhalder, saying he was from the show about “drunk vampires who get naked,” which I’ve got to admit, I’m happy with that accurate description.
She even dissed her own show, saying there were only eight people who watch Whose Line? — can’t lie, I’m one of those eight.
What did you think of her hosting duties? Did you think she did a good job? Or would you have preferred someone else? Let us know!
