Justin Bieber was cooperative when the police showed up at his house on Jan. 14, but also tried looking cool in front of his friends, according to a new report.
Justin Bieber and five or six of his friends were reportedly sound asleep when the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrived at his home with a search warrant, to try and connect him to the egging of his neighbors house on Jan. 9.
Justin Bieber Tried To ‘Be Tough’ In Front Of Friends
“Justin was fine,” a police source told E! News. “It is little weird to get woken up by a team of detectives.”
Well, we’d say! After they arrived, Justin was detained in his garage while the police searched his Calabasas home up and down, inside and out, for any evidence and video surveillance.
While police said in a press conference that he was cooperative, he did have “to be calmed down,” the source added.
“He wasn’t disrespectful, but he was wanting to know what was going on. He also seemed like he was trying to be tough in front of his friends,” they added.
Justin’s Friend Arrested Twice
One of those friends was Justin’s longtime pal Lil’ Za, whose real name is Xavier Smith. He was arrested for felony drug possession, which was originally thought to be cocaine, but is now allegedly MDMA and Xanax.
While police weren’t originally there to search for drugs, the narcotics were “in plain site,” according to the press conference. After posting bail, Za was about to be released when he allegedly freaked out and ripped a phone off the wall, and was rebooked for vandalism, according to TMZ.
“Zavier Smith was additionally charged with an incident that resulted in felony vandalism concerning a phone located in the holding cell this afternoon at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station,” Lt. Michael Williams told HollywoodLife.com.
Za’s bail was originally set at $20,000 but now is set for $75,000, according to E! News.
