The ‘Modern Family’ star looked gorgeous with an elegant braided crown in her hair for the 2014 Golden Globes, held in Beverly Hills on Jan. 12. Get her exact hairstyle and Dior makeup look below.
Sarah Hyland, 23, looked etherial and glowing at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, which took place on Jan. 12 in Beverly Hills, Calif. “It’s Valentino-runway inspired,” Sarah said about her hair on the red carpet to E! “I’ve always loved the crown braids so I figured why not. I went really simple with the nails today.” We chatted with her entire glam squad to bring you her exact look from head to toe!
Sarah Hyland At Golden Globe Awards — Stunning Crown Braid
Celebrity Hair Stylist Ryan Richman told HollywoodLife.com: “I was inspired by the hair on Valentino’s runway shows and wanted to create a romantic, effortless look that complimented her dress beautifully.”
He started by washing Sarah’s hair and parting it in the middle while the hair was damp. He applied Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Spray throughout liberally to protect against heat, eliminate frizz and reduce blow-dry time up to 50%.
He blow dried using a large boar bristle brush and left some of her natural texture. He separated her hair into two sections and used Kenra Platinum Working Spray 14 on entire head for more texture. He braided each section and secured with elastics at the end. Pulling the braids on top of the head, he secured with bobby pins. The not-quite-perfect look was to achieve a soft, romantic feel. As a finishing touch, he sprayed on Kenra Volume Spray 25.
Sarah’s Nude Mani — Her Exact Shades
Celebrity Manicurist Christina Aviles tells HollywoodLife.com:
“For this award show, we went for a very fresh, nude nail — something very different from Sarah’s usual red-carpet nail look. To accomplish this, two coats of essie’s bbf best boyfriend were applied, with one coat of essie’s blushing bride on the top to give her nail a slightly peachy-pink hue to complement her dress.”
Sarah’s Golden Glow — Her Dior Makeup Revealed
Sarah’s makeup was done by Allan Avendano for Dior Beauty. “A nude golden sheen to the eyes and a couple coats of mascara create a doll like effect that opens up her eyes and makes her look fresh, radiant and ready for Spring. The brows I believe were one of the most important parts of this look. Her Spring inspired look was so soft and luminous that defining her incredible brows makes the entire look more polished,” he says.
