And then there were 16! Juan Pablo went on his first-ever one-on-one dates on the Jan. 13 episode of ‘The Bachelor,’ but he also had to say goodbye to three ladies — one who pretty much walked out the door on her own.
The Bachelor was filled with kissing, nudity and alcohol. Yes, you read that right. Juan Pablo Galavis started out the night with two one-on-one dates showing off his romantic and fun side. We finally got to see Juan Pablo in his first make out, but we also saw the first break down of the season, causing him to send home one unlucky lady early.
‘The Bachelor’ Recap: Juan Pablo Shows 2 Sides On 1-On-1 Dates
Warm, yet snowy night. Check. Hot makeout in a hot tub. Check. Private romantic concert. Check. Emotional connection. Check.
That’s what was in store for Clare Crowley, who JP picked for the first one-on-one date at the man-made wintery Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, Calif. — yes, snow in Cali! While she wasn’t a good ice skater, she was good at opening her heart to JP, causing him to give her the first rose — and the first kiss of the season. Yes, they totally made out before JP brought out X Factor season one runner-up Josh Krajcik who put on a private concert. It was ridiculously romantic.
On his next one-on-one, JP chose was Kat Hurd, but instead of romance he went with a high-energy date. He shocked her by flying her to Salt Lake City, Utah for the Electric Run. Now if a guy ever took me on a 5K run for our first date, I’d be running the other direction. However, the dancing event made sense for them because she is a dancer. Plus, the electricity definitely seemed to be there, but it wasn’t as romantic as the date with Clare. But, they went on a private jet so on the way home, I’m hoping things got a little steamy.
Juan Pablo Picks 13 Girls For Photoshoot Group Date
For the group date, Juan Pablo invited Nikki, Andi, Christy, Chantel, Lucy, Victoria, Kelly, Elise, Chelsie, Alli, Cassandra, Lauren, and Renee for a dog-filled photo shoot for a good cause, Best Friends Animal Society. That left out Sharleen, Amy L. and Danielle.
While each of the ladies got paired with a pup to pose with as well as a costume, Andi and Elise got stuck with basically a piece of cardboard, and that’s it. Elise got Lucy to switch since she’s more than happy to walk around naked (literally walked around the street). We actually saw another kiss during the group date. JP broke Sean Lowe‘s “don’t kiss a girl in front of the other girls” rule and had a Lady in the Tramp moment with Cassandra — they ended up kissing!
Andi still had to go naked, but Juan Pablo helped her feel better since he was, too. Yes, that’s right — Lucy, Andi and JP just hung out for a nude photo shoot. In my opinion, that’s a bit much for a date, but it was sweet that he made them feel confident and comfortable in their own skin — plus, it was all for a good cause.
Juan Pablo Eliminates 3 Ladies
After the group date, Juan Pablo took the girls to a hotel for a party but Victoria went too hard. She got completely wasted, had a break down on the bathroom floor. After Juan Pablo went into the bathroom, she still wouldn’t come out — and he decided the next morning that he had to send her home because it’s not just about him, but also his daughter. Smart move, JP!
At the final rose ceremony, it started to sink in that this was going by quick. Juan Pablo sent home Chantel and Amy. That wasn’t surprising either — they haven’t done much to set themselves apart.
HollywoodLifers — do you think JP made the right choice to send home Victoria? Oh, and in case you’re keeping count, that’s two total that he’s kissed so far!
