Taylor Swift didn’t let Tina and Amy’s jab get her down at the 71st Annual Golden Globes — she didn’t even notice it at first, a source close to the singer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively!
After Tina Fey and Amy Poehler dissed Taylor Swift in 2013, we weren’t expecting them to do it again. However, they went to the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards and completely threw shade at her for the second year in a row! So, how did she react?
Taylor Swift Reacts To Golden Globe Diss
Here’s a little background to fill you in on the diss war. In 2013, Tina and Amy joked that Taylor should stay away from Michael J. Fox‘s son. This clearly angered Taylor, since she later told Vanity Fair that there was a “special place in Hell” for women who bash other women, when asked about the incident.
Then at the 2014 Golden Globes, Amy won for Best Actress in a Comedy, and Tina grabbed the mic and said, “I love you, and there’s a special place in hell for you.”
So, did Taylor catch that?
“Not at first,” a source close to the “Red” singer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “She was told throughout the night of the joke and she definitely didn’t have it ruin her night, but it certainly affected it for a little bit. She thought it wasn’t very classy.”
Amy & Tina: It’s All For Fun
“If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron,” Tina told Entertainment Tonight after Taylor spoke with Vanity Fair. “I did not see that one coming. It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke.”
Amy added in that she was definitely not meaning to hurt the 24-year-old’s feelings.
“Aww, I feel bad if she was upset,” Amy told The Hollywood Reporter. “That being said, I do agree that I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff.”
Do you think Taylor has a right to react this way? Or do you think she shouldn’t have cared at all?
