Poor Scott Disick! After losing his beloved mother, Bonnie Disick, in November, he had to say goodbye to another parent on Jan. 10 — his father, Jeffrey Disick, who unexpectedly died on Jan. 4 at age 63. Scott may be an only child, but thankfully he didn’t have to face this difficult day on his own. His loving girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, offered him a shoulder to cry on as he laid his father to rest near the Long Island town where the reality TV star grew up.
Scott, who was dressed in a black coat and dark sunglasses, looked positively heartbroken during the service. It’s a good thing Kourtney, who was seated next to him, understands how he feels. She also lost her father, Robert Kardashian, when he passed away in 2003 at 58.
Kris, who spoke about her late ex-husband on The View on Jan. 10, was there to support Scott as well. Kourtney and Scott’s children, Mason, 4, and Penelope, 1, were not in attendance.
The Jewish service, held in Oakwood Cemetery, was well-attended by many friends of the Disick family, according to the UK’s Daily Mail.
Scott was so distraught over his father’s death that Kourtney had to step up to plan the simple service.
“Scott is devastated but Kourtney is keeping him strong, she’s the one mainly handling everything,” the source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY before the funeral. “Without Kourtney, I don’t know what Scott would do. She is helping plan the funeral, she’s really doing it all. She knows what he’s going through because she lost her dad, so she can relate to Scott better than anyone right now.”
The reality star is upset not only because his parents are now gone but also because he is an only child with no remaining family. “Scott is beside himself,” a source told E! News.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Scott and his family during this difficult time.
