Shakira looks breathtaking on the February cover of ‘Glamour’ — and inside she gushed about working with Rihanna.
Shakira is the face of Glamour‘s February issue, and we could not be happier! She looks amazing on the cover, sporting a gorgeous ‘do courtesy of Kim Kimble. Inside, she dishes on collaborating with RiRi — and why they have so much in common!
Shakira Rihanna Collaboration -- What She Spilled In 'Glamour':
Shakira and Rihanna recently worked on a duet together, and Shakira had nothing but wonderful things to say about RiRi. “Working with her was utopia. She’s the sexiest woman on the planet. And at the end of the day, we’re both just basically Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good and so real. She taught me dance moves. She was a sweet teacher," she told the mag. How sweet is she!?
Shakira On Working With Men:
We all know Shakira worked alongside fellow judge Adam Levine on The Voice -- but how does she feel about working alongside men? “Dealing with boys at work and being the only girl can be challenging. I have my insecurities, but I’ve learned I have to be a good sport. I have to be able to take certain jokes and not take them personally. There are jokes made almost every second of the day. I had to develop a tough hide. You know, the music industry is dominated by guys. I work with men 98 percent of the time—producers, arrangers, musicians, engineers."
Shakira Dishes About Her Success:
Who doesn't love Shakira -- she is drop dead gorgeous and so talented! She admits that success wasn't an overnight accomplishment for the songstress. “Success happened little by little for me. I tasted the flavor of fame in small doses: I started at 10 years old when I won a music contest; I was performing at birthday parties, company meetings. I met with a record executive when I was 13 and sang ‘Material Girl’ to a cassette-tape boom box. I’ve shaken hands at every radio station, from Honduras to Ryan Seacrest’s. One day [I realized I was famous] enough. But here’s the thing: I’m still hungry. But I’m not hungry for fame—just the need to prove to myself that I can still do this.”
Shakira's 'Glamour' Cover Look:
Inside, the star looks amazing, sporting kohl-rimmed eyes and a soft pink lip, courtesy of makeup artist Christian McCulloch. Nettie Davison was responsible for the star's manicure, which complimented the sexy, leggy look she showed off in the magazine. Shakira's hair definitely stole the show, as it was worn in messy, voluminous waves. Be sure to check out the mag when it hits newsstands on Jan. 14 for more from the star.
