Michael Bay had an embarrassing teleprompter fail while talking about moviemaking at a Samsung CES conference in Las Vegas, Nev. on Jan. 6. Michael Bay Teleprompter Meltdown: Director Flubs Line In Samsung Speech

Michael, 48, was sharing his moviemaking process while promoting the newest Samsung TV, but he struggled to recapture his composure when he skipped over a line in his speech.

He stumbled and stammered and tried to “wing it,” but struggled to find his words, even as Joe Stinziano of Samsung America prompted him to share his unscripted thoughts. Michael apologized and dashed off the stage. So embarrassing!

Michael Bay Speaks Out After Teleprompter Flub

Michael spoke out about his teleprompter flub on his blog, and he had a good attitude about his embarrassing moment — and blamed his excitement about the product for his nerves.

“Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES,” he wrote, before explaining what happened. “I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off,” he explained. “I guess live shows aren’t my thing.”

Despite his awkward moment, he’s still going to get back on the stage to talk about the product he believes in! “I’m doing a special curved screen experience with Samsung and Transformers 4 footage that will be traveling around the world,” he shared.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Michael’s flub is embarrassing?
