Tori could definitely use a shoulder to cry on after reports surfaced that her husband, Dean, allegedly cheated on her. But unfortunately Tori is ‘too proud’ to confide in her mother, Candy, who ‘warned her against marrying Dean’ in the first place.
Tori Spelling has yet to comment on the shocking reports that her husband of seven years, Dean McDermott, cheated on just her days before Christmas but the former 90210 star is reportedly “seething behind the scenes.” Despite her outrage, Tori refuses to turn to her mother, Candy Spelling, for support. Is she right to shut her mom out?
Tori Spelling’s Marriage — She Refuses To Confide In Mom Over Dean McDermott
Tori has a very “complex” relationship with her mother, and as much as she’d like to reach out to Candy, she’s worried that her mom will say “I told you so.”
“Tori could use the support of Candy during this rough patch in her marriage to Dean, but she is just too proud to do so,” a source tells Radar Online. “She is afraid Candy would remind her that she was warned against marrying Dean so quickly after the divorce to first husband, Charlie, was made final.”
Thankfully, Tori didn’t let the cheating reports or her rift with her mom spoil the holidays for her family.
“Candy did get her grandchildren Christmas presents, and the cheating allegations weren’t addressed at the exchange, which took place without Dean,” the source tells Radar.
Tori is “constantly seeking approval” from Candy and while it’s understandable that she doesn’t want to disappoint her, the source seems to think that Tori should give her mom more credit.
“Candy isn’t judgmental and Tori would probably be surprised at how supportive her mother would be for her at this time. Instead of trying to be perfect, Tori should just let her guard down and confide in her mom,” the source says.
Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott Don’t Have A Prenup — Report
If Tori divorces Dean, she could be turning to Candy for financial support as well as emotional. The actress, who is reportedly worth $1.5 million, did not draw up a prenup when she married her husband, according to RadarOnline.com. Tori, whose mother is worth $600 million, is reportedly having regrets now because she thinks a prenup could have prevented Dean from cheating.
“Dean offered to sign one, but Tori refused,” a source says. “She truly believed Dean was her soul mate and there was zero need for a prenup.”
HollywoodLife.com reached out to Tori’s rep to find out if the allegations that she did not have a prenup were true, and we were told “no comment.”
So HollywoodLifers, do you think Tori should confide in her mom about her troubles with Dean? Let us know.
