The actress and revealed that not only did her dance-infused post-baby workouts help her shed the pregnancy weight and tone her abs, they helped her regain her energy after being drained by giving birth and help control her hormone mood swings!
Jenna Dewan-Tatum showed off her incredibly toned abs on the cover of Us Weekly — but not only did her intense 4-day-a-week workouts and vegetarian diet help her score impressive muscles just 7 months after giving birth to her daughter Everly, her fitness efforts helped her regulate all of those post-pregnancy hormones that made her moods unpredictable!
Jenna Dewan-Tatum Post-Baby Workouts Regulate Crazy Pregnancy Hormones
Jenna, 33, and her personal trainer targeted her arms and her legs during 90-minute workouts which she did four days a week, and incorporated Jenna’s love of dance into her workouts.
“Working out kept me sane,” Jenna told Us Weekly. “I would feel a burst of energy and all my hormones would regulate.”
Mrs. Channing Tatum has been a dancer her entire life, so as soon as she could start working out after giving birth, she went back to her favorite routines. “I thought, ‘I’ve worked out and danced my whole, it will all fall into place,'” she told the magazine — and it did!
Jenna also credits breastfeeding her daughter with help in quickly dropping the baby weight, but admits slimming down was not as much of a concern as her newborn child. “I didn’t think much about losing weight,” she said. “I was overwhelmed and in love with my baby!”
Jenna Dewan-Tatum Reveals Pregnancy Junk Food Craving
Jenna admits that she only gave into one of her pregnancy cravings while she was expecting, but it really challenged her self-control!
“I think a lot of women find out they’re pregnant and are like, ‘Let’s go crazy and eat ice cream every day!’ To me, it was, ‘I’m growing a human being, and I want to give this little soul the best nutrition I can,” she told Us. But her one cheat food was french fries! “I could not get enough,” Jenna gushed. “They were completely my Kryptonite.”
