‘Duck Dynasty’ Creator Scott Gurney Was In A Movie About Gay Porn

‘Duck Dynasty’ star Phil Robertson most likely skipped ‘The Fluffer’ when it came out in 2001, but given the star’s recent anti-gay remarks he might want to check it out — the gay-porn-centric film stars ‘Duck’ creator Scott Gurney!

The story just keeps getting stranger. Duck Dynasty patriarch and fundamentalist Christian Phil Robertson ignited a major controversy when he made shocking racist and homophobic remarks in GQand now Buzzfeed has unearthed some surprising footage from a movie about gay porn — that just-so-happens to star Scott Gurney, the creator of Duck Dynasty.

‘Duck Dynasty’ Creator Stars In Gay Porn Flick

To be clear, Scott did not star in an actual gay porn — The Fluffer is a movie about a gay love triangle, set against the background of the gay porn industry. The film also featured several real-life porn stars, so if you are the company you keep, then Phil must not be particularly happy to be seen in Scott’s company.

“Women with women, men with men — they committed indecent acts with one another and they received in themselves the due penancey for their perversions,” Phil says in a video from 2010. “They’re full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, god haters, they are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless, they invent ways of doing evil.”

Those are pretty strong words, and Scott’s participation in The Fluffer heavily suggests that Scott does not agree with Phil’s sentiments. He plays a “gay-for-pay” and a “fluffer” in the film (warning: NSFW Google search), which came out four years before Scott began his (and Duck Dynasty‘s) production company, Gurney Productions, in 2005.

Why ‘Duck Dynasty’ Should Be Canceled After Phil’s Comments

‘Duck Dynasty': Uncertain Future

Of course, Phil and his family might not have to associate with Scott for much longer. Even though Duck is the highest-rated cable reality series of all time, A&E suspended Phil, its star, after his GQ comments (rightfully) enraged the LGBT community, among others. Phil’s family then fired back, saying they wouldn’t film the series without their dad:

“We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support,” the family said in a public statement. “The family has spent much time in prayer since learning of A&E’s decision. We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word. While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Phil would never incite or encourage hate.We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty. Again, thank you for your continued support of our family.”

Stay tuned y’all, this story just keeps on growing.
