Ted’s former flame is coming back this spring!
Tis the season… for uncomfortable run-ins with your ex! Ashley Williams — who played the on-again, off-again girlfriend of Josh Radnor‘s Ted — is returning to How I Met Your Mother later this season, HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine is reporting.
Victoria, who was last seen briefly in season eight, will reportedly appear on an episode slated to air near April 2014.
Why Is Victoria Returning To ‘HIMYM’?
As you know, the final season of How I Met Your Mother takes place during the course of one wedding weekend, leaving only a few possibilities for Victoria’s return. Will she crash the wedding? Will she appear in a flashback?
It’s anyone’s guess at this point, but considering Ted is about to fall for the show’s titular ‘mother,’ I’m thinking we shouldn’t keep our fingers crossed for a full-on Ted/Victoria reunion.
Of course, Victoria certainly isn’t the first former character to return to the show in its final season. Bryan Cranston‘s return as Hammond Druthers was met with much fanfare — including a dramatic Twitter announcement by creator Carter Bays.
HollywoodLifers, how do you feel about Victoria coming back to How I Met Your Mother? Which other former characters would you like to see return before the series ends this spring? Drop a comment with your thoughts on the final season below!
