“It was originally for publicity,” the source says about Harry and Kendall’s first date, “but this is a case of hormones winning the fight.”

Harry may have gone into that date on Nov. 20 in Los Angeles not expecting anything to happen, but it sounds like real sparks have been flying ever since. “Harry likes her. He is having lots of fun with her and thinks she is cool and hot,” the source adds. “And he likes that Kendall is trying really hard to get him for her own exclusive relationship,” Well, what are the chances of an exclusive relationship developing? “They could definitely be considered as boyfriend-girlfriend bound,” the source answers.

And if Harry has been surprised by how much he likes Kendall, then she’s been completely blindsided by love. “Kendall definitely has the puppy dog eyes going for Harry,” says the source. “She is falling hard.”

Then it’s no wonder that the 18-year-old model traveled across the country to be with Harry. On the eve of One Direction‘s performance on Saturday Night Live, Kendall was spotted heading into the New York City hotel, the Gansevoort Meatpacking. Just hours later, Harry was seen leaving the hotel — he was the one member of 1D to stay there.

And it became clear the next day, Dec. 7, that the lovebirds had both stayed at the hotel (perhaps together?) when they left together to go on a brunch date. “They came off the elevator inside the hotel holding hands but quickly separated,” an eyewitness told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Kendall was just smiling so much and was the happiest I’ve ever seen her.”
