Looks like this rap feud is still kicking! Less than a year ago, Waka and Gucci were partners, now there may not be two rappers who hate each other more. And things are only going to heat up now that Waka has dissed Gucci again.
Gucci Mane, arguably the most volatile rapper around, is not going to like hearing this. His former friend and now enemy, Waka Flocka Flame, did not pull any punches in a new interview and threw out one of the harshest disses a rapper can — that Gucci isn’t even relevant anymore.
Waka Flocka Flame On Gucci Mane: ‘Who Is That?’
Since Waka Flocka Flame was dramatically dropped from Gucci Mane’s record label in March 2013, it’s become uniform for interviewers to ask both guys about each other. Sure enough, Gucci came up in Waka’s interview with Vlad TV, and he lashed out at his former collaborator with newfound venom.
“Who is that? He doesn’t exist to me,” Waka strongly stated. “I don’t got time for nobody.”
The diss was simple enough — and it wasn’t shockingly vulgar by any means — but it was extremely effective. In the rap game, almost nothing is more important than notoriety, so Waka pretending that Gucci doesn’t even exist is the highest form of disrespect.
Gucci Mane Sues Waka Flocka Flame
This is the first time Waka and Gucci have publicly butted heads since Gucci sued Waka’s mother, Debra Antney, in November. Debra used to be Gucci’s manager, and the lawsuit filed by the rapper claimed that she had stole money from him and collected 20 percent more than the standard manager fee.
The heated legal battle just further illustrates how intense things have become between Waka and Gucci. When one guy’s suing another guy’s mom, you know things have gotten out of hand. It’s amazing to think that less than a year ago, these two were close friends and collaborators.
Now we’ll just have to wait to see how Gucci responds to this latest diss.
