The 2013 Soul Train Awards took over the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 9, where so many stars stepped out for the big show — and they didn’t disappoint with their red carpet looks! The show, which aired on BET and TV CENTRIC on Dec. 1, brought out so many show-stopping looks. From Jennifer Hudson in a sexy mini to Ashanti in sheer and Michelle Williams in pretty prints, see all of the show-stopping looks and VOTE for who YOU think was best dressed.
Soul Train Awards 2013 Best Dressed:
Jennifer Hudson showed off her new pixie cut, and it looked phenomenal with her plunging, printed Balmain Spring 2012 mini that was seriously short. The edgy ensemble put her cleavage on full display and worked so well with her new ‘do, as winged eyeliner finished off her glam look. While we’re obsessed with her red carpet get-up, it wasn’t long before she slipped into yet another sexy look for her opening performance.
While Jennifer decided to dress sexy, Michelle Williams opted for a more demure look in her pretty, printed Leila Shams dress. Her teal frock hugged her figure, but the modest length and neckline made it one of the more conservative looks on the red carpet — although a small slit at the leg added a little sex appeal to the ensemble.
Janelle Monae switched things up on the red carpet in separates as she stepped out in a color-blocked look by Alexandre Vauthier, which she rocked with Jimmy Choo sandals and a DVF clutch.
Soul Train Awards Dresses:
Sheer proved to be a major trend of the night, with both Ashanti and Toni Braxton rocking the trend — but there was plenty more where that came from!
