Paul Walker’s Family Reacts To Tragic Death — Official Statement
Paul Walker’s family has taken to his official Facebook page to release a statement about the death of the actor on Nov. 30. While at a charity event, Paul was riding in a friend’s car that hit a tree, and exploded into flames. He was 40.
The tragic car crash that killed Paul Walker took place in Santa Clarita, Cali. while he was volunteering with his charity, Reach Out Worldwide to raise money to help those affected by the storm in the Philippines. His family and friends are heartbroken by the tragedy, as are we. They have released the following statement.
It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Paul Walker’s Death: The Tragic Car Accident
Paul had been with friends, taking them out for test drives in his new Porsche when the accident occurred. A friend of his was driving but lost control of the vehicle.
“Sadly, I must confirm that Paul did pass away this afternoon. I don’t have an official statement at this time,” Paul’s rep told HollywoodLife.com.
Additionally, Santa Clarita’s Sheriff’s Station confirmed that the two passengers in the vehicle were pronounced dead immediately.
“Sheriffs deputies are currently investigating a two person accident,” Deputy Heischuber told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Two people were pronounced dead immediately at the scene. The coroner’s office are the ones who will determine the identity.”
