As ‘The Voice’ gets closer and closer to crowning its victor, one coach is confident that his singer will rise to the top. Blake Shelton tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that coaching a winner is his job, so he doesn’t plan on losing anytime soon!
Blake Shelton, 37, has plenty of reasons to be confident when it comes to his contestant Cole Vosbury‘s chances of winning Season 5 of The Voice. With three wins already in his pocket, Blake has proven himself to be the coach to beat. Find out what Blake told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY after the Nov. 26 show.
Blake Shelton’s Team On ‘The Voice’ — Why He’s Confident His Team Will Win
Blake says that he was upset when his contestant Ray Boudreaux was eliminated during the Nov. 26 episode, but part of what makes the country superstar the coach to beat is his crystal-clear focus on his main objective — getting that win.
“Well I have one job on this show,” Blake told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “I am trying to win this thing. I take that seriously, and whether I get to the finale with three people or one person it doesn’t change my focus.”
Blake continued to emphasize his determination:
I hate it, and it hurts because I don’t want to see a friend leave the show — especially someone like Ray, who I really respect. But I still have a job to do, and what they pay me for is to be a coach on The Voice and to win the show. I am not paid to lose. My plan is to hold the Season 5 trophy. If that doesn’t happen then that is on me, and not on Cole.
Blake Shelton: Cole Vosbury Needs To Expose His Fun Side
Blake also told HollywoodLife.com that viewers need to get to know a different side of Cole if they’re going to vote for him.
“The next step is to see the fun side of Cole,” he said. “Cole is one funny bastard, and that son of a b**ch — you never know what will come out of his mouth or what he will do. He has a dry sense of humor, and I want America to catch onto that at some point. He takes his music very seriously, so when you see him on the show he’s nervous sometimes. But knowing him as a man, he is really fun to be around and I want America to pick up on that.”
