We’re used to seeing much more skin from Miley Cyrus during award shows — at the VMAs she wore a nude latex bikini and at the EMAs she donned a super short backless dress. However, at the American Music Awards on Nov. 24, she wore a full (and low-cut) white pants suit, but that’s because she actually had to cover herself up!
“Performers were warned that they would be yanked if there was too much skin,” a source close to the singer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. However, they apparently didn’t have a rule about showing cats on stage — so that was a way Miley could still push the envelope.

“Even though her outfit was a bit more racy during the performance of “Wrecking Ball”, she definitely would have pushed it further,” the source told us about the super high cut cat bikini.
However, she still wanted to prove that she could be controversial. So, yes — it does mean what you were thinking — the cat on the screen was not just a cute kitten reference.
“She decided to prove a point and put her p—y up on the big screen,” the source revealed. Jeez! Miley can get around the rules one way or another. While this is a little weird and gross, it’s actually completely creative.
So, it was nice that she did choose to follow the rules on the red carpet and go super conservative — and she looked stunning in that suit.
“The reason why she wore such a conservative outfit on the red carpet at the AMAs is because producers wanted a show that the whole family could watch, and they didn’t want any boobs or butts or slips,” the source continued.
Well, she didn’t show any of that actually (although she apparently had that intention during the performance). So, HollywoodLifers — what do you think? Do you think she should have pushed the envelope even more and gone with a scandalous outfit? Let us know!
