Kanye West is not one to hold his tongue about his feelings, and Louis Vuitton is his new target! Despite the fact that he was spotted carrying a tote by the brand in LA in October, the “Bound 2” rapper is urging fans to boycott the brand in an interview on Nov. 25 with NYC radio station 92.3. Apparently the head of the company, Yves Carcelle, rejected Kanye’s requests to meet with him while he was in Paris — and the rapper isn’t taking the snub lightly!
Kanye told the station: “What happened was while I was out in Paris. I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, and he said I don’t understand why we need to meet with you. Let me explain to you why you need to meet with me. Everybody in New York City right now don’t buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don’t realize my power.”
A day after his first outburst against Louis Vuitton, he appeared on yet another NYC radio station, Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, on Nov. 26 where he took his frustrations out on the fashion world. “These people do not take me seriously. Everybody at the Louis Vuitton store in Atlanta don’t buy anything until after January. Thats how much power I have,” he said.
What do you guys think? Did LV make a big mistake not meeting with the rapper or is Kanye just on a power trip? Check it out and sound off below!
