Sadly, two more acts were eliminated tonight — but luckily we saw an amazing performance from One Direction to cheer us up! Read on for more details.
The Nov. 21 episode was a real nail-biter, since it was the X Factor‘s second Elimination Thursday. Were you upset about the two acts that were cut, HollywoodLifers?
One Direction Performs On ‘The X Factor’
The boys of One Direction came home Nov. 21, as they performed “Story Of My Life” on The X Factor, the very franchise that first spawned them three years ago. The performance was technically recorded on Nov. 20, then aired during the live results show, but that didn’t make their electrifying rendition of any less memorable.
All five Directioners – Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne – were in rare form, crooning the emotional lyrics over the hordes of screaming fangirls. 1D’s performance was the perfect addition to The X Factor‘s live-yet-lifeless results show, giving it a much-needed boost of energy.
‘The X Factor’: Two Acts Eliminated
Early in the show, Khaya Cohen was unfortunately eliminated after her powerful rendition of “Let It Be” on Nov. 20. However, she was in the bottom two acts during last week’s elimination round, so it sadly looks like it just wasn’t in the cards for her!
Seven acts were sent to the safe zone, and included Rion Paige, Josh Levi, Alex & Sierra, Lillie McCloud, Jeff Gutt, Ellona Santiago, and Restless Road.
The bottom two acts were Carlito Olivero and Tim Olstad, who had to sing for their survival on the show. Tim sang a good rendition of “You Raise Me Up,” fighting back tears at the end, and Carlito flawlessly sang “Beneath Your Beautiful.”
