Get your first look at mini-Henry, who makes his first appearance during next Sunday’s all-new episode.
Henry (Jared Gilmore) used to be so cute — you know, before he started hanging out with Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) and surrendering his heart to darkness. Once Upon A Time is taking a week off for the American Music Awards this Sunday, but when it returns Dec. 1, we’ll get to see li’l Henry’s early days, including the moment Regina (Lana Parrilla) became a mom-ster!
This batch of first-look photos finds Regina cradling her son-to-be at the hospital in Storybrooke, accompanied by Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), and one more familiar face…
Dr. Whale (David Anders)! Yes, before he remembered he was actually Dr. Frankenstein — I’m still trying to forget that, to be honest — he was just a simple medical practitioner who apparently cared for Henry as a wee babe.
But here’s the question: Will this flashback to Henry’s early days make us more sympathetic to Regina’s plight? Henry may have died, but we all know he’ll be OK, and that means he’s got a decision to make: Upon returning to Storybrooke, will he live with Regina or Emma (Jennifer Morrison)?
‘Save Henry’: The Official Episode Description
Fortunately for Henry, he’s still got a few weeks to make up his mind. In the meantime, here’s the full description of the Dec. 1 episode — titled, of course, “Save Henry” — per ABC:
While Henry’s life hangs in the balance, the race is on to stop Pan from gaining full magical powers from the heart of the truest believer. Meanwhile, in Storybrooke of the past, Regina decides to fill a void in her life and, with Mr. Gold’s help, sets out to adopt a baby, on Once Upon a Time.
