We were super pumped to find out on Sept. 30 that Fifth Harmony would be joining Demi Lovato on her 2014 Neon Lights tour, along with Little Mix and Cher Lloyd — what a lineup! So we couldn’t wait to chat backstage with the fab five following their killer “Me & My Girls” performance on Nov. 14’s X Factor. From their rumored Spice Girls cover with Demi, to inspiring advice for X Factor competitors, read on for our EXCLUSIVE interview!
We’ll tell you what we want, what we really really want; we want Fifth Harmony to sing “Wannabe” with Demi! And — drum roll, please — it looks like it’s going to happen!
Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Demi’s Spice Girls song of choice is “probably ‘Wannabe!'”
“I feel like I’ll forget that I was just on stage,” Camila told us. “I’ll just feel like I’m at a Demi Lovato concert.”
We’re so thrilled for the fivesome, which took the world by storm after finishing third on the second season of The X Factor. But despite the huge honor of performing with superstar Demi, the girls are not stopping here!
The ladies also told us that, although they’ve obviously come very far, they will continue to strive for more.
“I think it is a continued drive to want to get better,” Lauren told us. “We always try and push ourselves and prove to ourselves that we can do more and do better. So I feel like that is just a constant growing process.”
Wow, so inspiring! What a great message to their fans, as well as good-old-fashioned advice to everyone working hard to get ahead.
And speaking of advice, the young divas gave some EXCLUSIVE words of wisdom for Sweet Suspense and Rachel Potter, who went home last night.
“Don’t stop working,” Lauren urged. “I think that is one of the reasons we have been so lucky and so blessed. Literally we haven’t stopped. We keep going and we have a drive so as long as [Sweet Suspense and Rachel] allow that drive to push through and keep doing what they need to be doing they can be great.”
“And you can’t think that it has anything to do with you and your talent,” Camila added. “Sometimes, it’s just circumstance.”
How sweet! And definitely worth listening to, considering the source.
