‘Catching Fire’ fever reached a new high during the London premiere on Nov. 11 and the star of the film itself — Jennifer Lawrence — drummed up even more anticipation by revealing the most emotion scene of the sequel.
Don’t tease us, Katniss! Jennifer Lawrence was out on Nov. 11 (looking amazing, obviously) for the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, where she talked about the upcoming sequel and dished about which scenes were the hardest for her to shoot.
Jennifer Lawrence Reveals ‘Catching Fire’ Secrets
It’s no secret that Catching Fire finds Katniss in an even darker place, with the world on the verge of a revolutionary war. And at the same time she’s dealing with having to go right back into the Hunger Games and also struggling to balance her fake romance with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) with her real one with Gale (Liam Hemsworth).
“She’s suffering,” Jennifer admitted at the London premiere.
So obviously filming Katniss’ many battles wasn’t easy for JLaw, but she did admit that one scene in particular was rougher than the others.
“I think the most heartbreaking was when they take me away at the reaping and I’m not allowed to say goodbye to my family,” Jennifer revealed. Going back to the Hunger Games — never easy — but Jennifer admitted that the scene was even personally hard for her.
“I remember that day really getting to me,” she said.
It’s that kind of personal intensity that Jen brings to the movie that is going to make Catching Fire so good. It may even top the first movie!
