‘Once Upon A Time’ Recap: Peter Pan’s Days Are Finally Numbered

Plus, Emma finally chooses between Neal & Hook — but not really.

After six long weeks of non-stop Neverland, the viewers finally got to see what was going on in Storybrooke on the Nov. 10 episode of Once Upon A Time. And while it was nice to catch up with old friends — oh, Grumpy, you’re still no fun to be around — I wish it had been under better circumstances. You know, like not with Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Ariel (JoAnna Garcia) being tied up and held at gunpoint.

Shortly after Ariel swam her way to the ‘brooke, two of Peter Pan’s minions — sexy, well-dressed British minions, mind you — jacked the magic box the princesses were retrieving for Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle). Sorry, did I not mention the box was Pandora’s Box? That part’s actually pretty important.

Of course, this being Once Upon A Time, you knew a twist was coming — and it did, when we learned the sexy British henchmen were actually Wendy’s brothers, John and Michael! (I immediately felt gross for ogling them, even if they are all-grown-up now.)

Love Is A Battlefield

Meanwhile, the Neverland peeps were up to their chiseled jawlines in shadows and candles and, of course, relationship drama! As Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) bitched out Charming (Josh Dallas) for keeping his big secret — yeah, she’s still not over that — Emma (Jennifer Morrison) went shadow hunting with her lovers, past and present.

When all the shadow-fighting came to an end, the real fighting — over the entrance to Emma’s pants, of course — began! This inspired the Savior to finally “choose” between Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Neal (Michael Raymond-James), only she didn’t really choose at all; she “chose” Henry (Jared Gilmore) and then stormed off before anyone got a chance to call her out for dodging the question.

Boy Meets Wendy

Speaking of Henry, Pan (Robbie Kay) moved forward with his plan — which I’m still pretty unsure of, but that’s OK — by convincing Henry that, not only is the only one who can save magic, but it’s also up to him to save Wendy, who Pan is keeping as his prisoner in a creepy little bedroom. The whole scene was really unsettling, especially because it ended with Pan telling Wendy to get “back in [her] cage.”

The episode ended with Pan sending Henry off to Skull Rock, which appears to be the location of the final(?) showdown between Peter Pan and Team #SaveHenry — or at least I hope it is. Not to be a Negative Nancy, but I’m sick to death of Neverland, and if I have to sit through one more hour of jungle madness, I’m going to blow my brains out.

(Plus, I’m sure Lana Parrilla is tired of having to wear that blue blazer all the damn time.)

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of this week’s episode? Were you surprised by the John/Michael twist? Are you hoping we’ll be done with Neverland soon? Drop a comment with your review of the episode, and your predictions for the future!
