Sorry Blake — this season of ‘The Voice’ is going to Team Christina! I know it’s still early, but I can’t see how anyone could be more of the full package than Jacquie Lee!
Week one of the live performances is over on The Voice, and now we patiently wait for the results, but I can tell you who’s not going home, and that’s 16-year-old Jacquie Lee. Her performance on Nov. 5 was just the beginning!
Jacquie Lee Will Take Over ‘The Voice’
When Jacquie auditioned for The Voice, she brought down the stage with Amy Winehouse‘s “Back To Black.” No, the coaches didn’t turn immediately. However, her performance just kept getting better, and both Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton both spun around for her.
In the knockout rounds, she sang “Stompa” and “House of the Rising Sun.” Not only did she sound incredible, but she really entertained the crowd — a huge part of that star quality. She’s got it all!
The Competition: No One Else Has The Full Package
My coworker is a big fan of Tessanne Chin and thinks she could take it all — but I can’t agree. While Tessanne has an incredible voice and is extremely talented, it takes more than that to win. She definitely deserves to make it far, but the 28-year-old doesn’t have that star quality that Jacquie does.
Another amazing talent is Matthew Schuler, who took a risk when performing “Wrecking Ball” on Nov. 5. He totally nailed the song and the emotion came through powerfully. He definitely will go far on the show.
However, I’m hesitant to say he’s the full package. I know that he turned all four judges’ chairs after singing just a few notes in the blind audition. But I’m not sure which genre he would fit into. He’ll be a star with that voice — but he isn’t the star of The Voice.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Jacqui has what it takes to win it all? Let me know!
