Justin Bieber has found himself hot water yet again after he ended his concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil early on Nov. 2 because he was hit by a water bottle that a fan threw on stage. Brazilian Beliebers waited for almost an hour for Justin to come back, but he never did. Can you blame him?
A video from the concert shows Justin mid-song getting hit by the bottle, causing him to drop his microphone. He then sends a death stare in the direction of where the water bottle came from, and walks off stage.
It was a stunning incident and most of the Sao Paulo crowd had no idea what JB stopped performing in the first place, according to Felipe Gladiator, who reviewed the concert for G7. “The scene was so shocking that even his dancers couldn’t believe what they had seen,” Felipe wrote. “The fans didn’t know what was going on and stayed in their seats for half an hour, hoping that he would come back and finish the show.” But he never did.
Beliebers reportedly even started chants and sang Justin’s song “Baby,” but to no avail. They finally took the unfortunate hint when the arena lights went on and crew members began disassembling the stage.
Justin storming off stage definitely doesn’t make him look good, but getting hit by a speeding object has to be pretty annoying. The Biebs is putting his heart and soul into his performance — the last thing he needs is people throwing things at him.
On the other hand though, it doesn’t really seem fair to punish thousands of people for one person’s mistake.
