We’ll never get enough of Justin! In between releasing previews for his upcoming movie and new songs on Music Mondays, the Biebs dropped a lyric video for ‘Recovery’ on Nov. 1 that will really help you get in touch with how he was feeling when he penned the heartbroken love song. Are you watching, Selena Gomez?
“Recovery,” which was released by Justin Bieber as the fourth installment of Music Mondays on Oct. 28, may be his most heart-wrenching song yet. And to highlight the lyrical themes of heartbreak and second chances, Justin dropped a lyric video to go along with the track on Nov. 1.
Justin Bieber’s ‘Recovery’ Lyric Video
“Recovery” is all about trying to, well, recover from past mistakes that got in the way of love. “First I’ll acknowledge/Our trust has been broken/A successful recovery/I pray for us at night,” Justin croons throughout the song, singing about how he lost his ways but that he’d give up anything to make things right once again.
Knowing what we do about Justin and his relationship with Selena Gomez, it’s pretty much impossible not to think that the song is about them. And in Justin’s words you can really feel how torn up he is over losing her.
But he’s not one to give up, also singing repeatedly, “It’s time to do you right.”
