Jonas Brothers On ‘GMA’ : ‘We’re Family First’
“We’re family first and that’s always been our main priority and so honesty within what we do as a group was really important,” Nick Jonas, 21, told Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America.” “I came to the table with the guys…and shared my heart with them.”
He also confirmed that there were complications with the band for awhile, so it was a “tough conversation” to have.
“It was just individual things that we were just butting heads about, whether it was the way to set up the music video or even just personal opportunities,” Joe Jonas, 24, said. The brothers than realized they should branch off into their own ventures with support from one another.
Even though they’re going to do their own thing, they have a parting gift for fans!
Jonas Brothers Won’t Release Full Version Of ‘V’ Album
“We’re going to release four of the unreleased songs from [X],” Kevin Jonas, 25, said. “We put together the 10 live tracks from the last summer tour, so we’ll be giving that to our fans as a gift from us.” The expectant dad is also excited to explore the business side of the music industry.
He also revealed to People that he was the one who deleted the band’s Twitter, because it wasn’t “authentic” to them anymore, calling the deleting process “therapeutic.”
“I think that we have the best fans in the world and have for our entire career so we thank them for really understanding,” added Nick.
“This is the first time in a long time we have time to focus on ourselves and support each other through that,” said Joe, who will explore acting and making his own music, which Nick will pursue as well.
But will they ever get back together?
“I think it’s impossible to say forever with anything,” Nick stated. “We’re playing it one step at a time right now and, like we said, rebuilding as brothers first and starting there.”
