She’s at it again! Miley made a surprise appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Oct. 26 and totally stole the show by busting out her favorite dance move in an outfit like she’s never worn before. Watch it below!
Miley Cyrus clearly isn’t afraid of making fun of herself. So when Saturday Night Live tackled the origins of twerking on Oct. 26, she was happy to make a guest appearance as a sexy dancing lady from the 1860s. Yep, it’s as hilarious as it sounds!
Miley Cyrus Twerks On ‘SNL’
In a daring move, SNL put on a skit poking fun at race relations called “12 Days Not A Slave,” in which a slave — played by Jay Pharoah — freed by the Emancipation Proclamation finds out that things are still pretty tense between him and white people.
The whole sketch is a little touchy, but it picks up when Jay’s character starts dancing. “Listen — do not let white people see you dance,” Edward Norton’s character tells him. “Once they see you dance they will try to dance like you!”
“What!? What do you mean? They’ll never be able to dance like me,” Jay responds.
Cue Miley, in an old-timey dress, twerking on the dance floor! The crowd went wild with laughter as they realized that the “We Can’t Stop” singer was taking shots at herself.
Miley Cyrus Makes Fun Of Herself
You have to give credit to Miley for being such a good sport. She handled her Oct. 5 hosting gig pretty well, and though twerking was explicitly not addressed, she was still game to come back three weeks later to be the butt of another joke.
That’s why she gets away with “trying” to dance like Jay’s character — because she has such a good attitude and she doesn’t take things too seriously.
What did you think of the skit, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
