The ’50 Shades Of Grey’ cast just got sexier! Luke will be playing Christian Grey’s muscular and funny older brother, Elliot Grey. Are you as thrilled as we are, HollywoodLifers?
True Blood actor Luke Grimes, 29, has officially been cast to play Elliot Grey, our sister site Variety exclusively reported on Oct. 25. With Jamie Dornan, 31, confirmed to play Christian Grey, we couldn’t have chosen hotter onscreen brothers ourselves! Read on for more details.
Luke Grimes Joins ’50 Shades Of Grey’ Cast As Elliot Grey
We think Luke, who’s six feet tall, looks absolutely perfect for the role of Elliot! His smiling, soulful eyes, wavy blonde hair and buff bod are a perfect fit for the role.
We can also totally picture Luke cracking an affectionate grin, as the former bad-boy Elliot is known to do.
Luke is also no stranger to smoldering onscreen. He played an emotionally-deep bloodsucker on the vampire hit, True Blood, and a handsome, illegitimate son on Brothers & Sisters.
We can’t wait to hear him utter his two magical words: “Laters, baby!” All he needs now is his onscreen love, Kate Kavanagh, who hasn’t been cast yet — but we’re sure she will be soon.
The 50 Shades of Grey producers have been on a casting roll, because Luke’s announcement came just two days after his onscreen brother was cast!

The woman behind Fifty Shades of Grey, author E.L. James, sent Jamie a “welcome to #TeamFifty” tweet on Oct. 24, confirming that he will replace Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey in the highly anticipated film adaptation of her erotic novel. Our sister site Variety exclusively reported the news on on Oct. 23.
