Prince William and Kate Middleton were a little bit concerned that their son Prince George would wail and fuss throughout his Oct. 23 christening ceremony — after all, he has a well-documented cry that would surely disrupt the formal ceremony! But proud dad Will was able to keep the 3-month-old calm by bouncing him — and Georgie was so content that he even blew spit bubbles throughout the ceremony!
The Duke of Cambridge was shocked that his son had calmed down right before the ceremony started.
“This is the quietest he’s been all day,” Will said before the baptism began.
Once the ceremony began, little George “blew bubbles while William bounced him,” an onlooker told Us Weekly. He was really on his best behavior — and guests and spectators of the event noticed!
“Prince George has been good as gold,” a source told Us about his temperament throughout the ceremony.
It’s a good thing that George was listening so intently, because the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, was giving the royal family some guiding wisdom. He told Will and Kate:
Make sure [George] knows who this Jesus is. Speak of him, read stories about him. Introduce him in prayer. Help him to grow and flourish into the person God has created and has called him to be.
What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Do you think it’s adorable that George blew bubbles during his christening?
