Prince George will receive the sacrament of baptism at The Chapel Royal with his closest relatives and family friends there to share the moment. Kate Middleton and Prince William carefully chose a small list of guests to be present for the occasion. His great-grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, will of course be guests of honor at the intimate affair — but find out who else will share little Georgie’s big day!
Prince George Christening: Royal Guest List Revealed
Prince George’s godparents will of course be a major part of the ceremony. All seven of his godparents — Mr. Oliver Baker, Mrs. David Jardine-Paterson, Earl Grosvenor, Mr. Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, The Hon. Julia Samuel, Zara Tindall, and Mr. William van Cutsem — will all be in attendance along with their spouses.
Prince George Christening
After Prince George’s christening, guests will continue the celebration with a private reception.
According to an official press release distributed on Oct. 23 by Kensington Palace:
Following the service, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will give a private tea in Clarence House. Guests will be served slices of christening cake, which is a tier taken from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding cake.
The 8-tier cake was designed by Fiona Cairns, and was made from 17 individual fruit cakes, topped with cream and white icing.
