Kate’s sis rocked a lovely, custom-made creation for Prince George’s special day — and she looked great! But is it just me or is this deja vu? Pippa’s wearing the same color as Kate on her special day — and making heads turn! These sisters sure love to coordinate. Did you love Pippa’s custom-made look? VOTE.
Little sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa Middleton, 30, was all smiles as she arrived at the christening of Prince George. The historical event was held at the Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace on Oct. 22. While everyone anxiously awaited to see the little royal, Pippa managed to generate a fair amount of attention herself, (just like she did on the Royal Wedding day!). Heads turned when Kate’s sister stepped out in a custom-made ensemble by British designer Suzannah Crabb — and we have all the details on her look right here!
Pippa Middleton’s Christening Outfit:
Pippa looked stylish and chic as she entered Royal Christening in her appropriate yet conservative coat-and-dress combo. Auntie Pippa knows how to stay warm while looking flawless, as usual! She covered up in bespoke cream knee length, Italian wool coat, crafted specifically for Pippa with the special day in mind by British designer Suzannah Crabb. Underneath the coat, Pippa wore a blush pink shift dress, (also custom-made by the designer for the occasion!). Pippa elegantly glided in and it almost looked as if she color-coordinated with her older sister for the special day.
Suzannah has been working closely with Pippa on the design of the custom-made ensemble. They began discussing the design of the dress a couple of months in advance and the designer also assisted the classic beauty with her exquisite styling from head-to-toe. She finished off the look with a floral fascinator by Brit designer Edwina Ibbotson and wore her hair back in a low, loose ponytail.
The designer told Grazia working with Pippa on the ensemble was just a “dream come true,” and that they wanted a retro-inspired look. “We aimed for understated beauty, drawing inspiration from a 1960s coat dress,” she said. “Creating a couture dress and frock coat not only for the occasion of the royal christening, but for Pippa Middleton, who is so naturally elegant and stylish is a commission that every designer dreams of. It’s so exciting that British fashion has such a champion.”
While it was not the first time Pippa wore one of the designer’s creations, we’re sure it won’t be the last! The simple but charming dress featured a conservative neckline with sheer detailed panels at the neckline. The perfectly polished Pippa knows how to keep the world under her spell, making us want more of her elegant style — even on her nephew’s big day!
What do you think of Pippa’s look? Was it just perfect for the christening?
