Nikki DeLoach Explains The Meaning Behind Her Son’s Name
Nikki picked out her son’s name before he was even a reality. She told SheKnows.com:
From my experience, you don’t find a name, a name finds you. I don’t know how to explain it other than I heard the name and knew I would have a boy, I knew it would be this year and I knew his name would be Hudson. I know this sounds weird, but I could just feel him out there.
However, I had always wanted my child to have family names and Hudson wasn’t … at least that is what I thought. When I researched the meaning of Hudson, I found out it meant ‘son of Hugh.’ Both my Papa and Uncle [his son] are Hugh’s. It was meant to be. Then, I added ‘William’ which is my Dad’s first name. And, of course, he will have my husband’s last name. He shares names with all the most important men in my life: my husband, dad, uncle and papa.
What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Do you like the name William Hudson?
