Plus, is Henry lost forever? This episode did not end well.
After a minor freak out upon their reunion, Neal and Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) teamed up and tracked down Henry (Jared Gilmore) — but their victory was short-lived when Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) filled Neal in on the whole ‘Henry is going to kill Rumples’ prophecy.
Rumples did his best to convince Neal that he’d never hurt Henry, but given their checkered history, Neal wasn’t in the mood for more lies; so he froze Rumples in the middle of the jungle and left him behind. It was all very “Cat’s in the Cradle.”
Of course, it didn’t take long for Pan to break free and take Henry back. And to make matters even worse, the episode ended with Henry finally hearing the music of Pan’s magic flute, which means he finally feels like he’s been abandoned. … Remember when Pan told Emma (Jennifer Morrison) that Henry wouldn’t want to leave Neverland? Well, I’m finally starting to get that feeling.
Peter Pan’s Past
This week’s return to the Enchanted Forest revealed that Rumpelstiltskin & Peter Pan’s history runs a lot further back than we once thought.
Back when Neal (aka Baelfire) was a wee lad, he was coaxed into the forest by the Pied Piper (aka Pan.) When Rumples tracked him down, he learned the only boys who can hear his song are ones who feel they’ve been abandoned — and thus, the “Lost Boys” were born.
Rumples and Pan were apparently friends as young boys, but things didn’t end so well between them. You know, because most of his friendships usually turn out great.
Snow & Charming Say… Goodbye?
With Charming’s (Josh Dallas) wound getting nastier by the day — though I’m not sure even one day has passed since the gang arrived in Neverland — he did what any noble prince would do: He told Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) to move on and find someone else after he dies.
She didn’t seem to understand, of course, but she will soon. I have to admit, I’m pretty bored of Neverland, and I can’t wait until we all leave this place behind for good — I just hope Charming comes with us!
HollywoodLifers, are you worried about Charming? Do you think Henry will snap out of it? And what was with Hook and Emma’s kiss in the preview for next week’s episode?! Drop a comment with your thoughts and predictions.
