After Cory’s drug overdose in Vancouver, Canada, Lea has expressed her desire to be surrounded by loved ones as she grieves, so it’s great that she now has Pearl to comfort her and keep her company.
On Oct.15, Lea tweeted, “Today I would like to introduce you to Pearl. She’s 8 years old and is my new little love.. Welcome Pearl!”, including a photograph of her adorable new dog.
We’re so happy for Lea! She really knows how to take good care of herself, and pets are the best medicine for combatting depression and sadness!
Lea Michele Doesn’t Like Being Alone After Cory Monteith’s Death
After Cory’s untimely death, Lea has said that she prefers to be around supportive friends, rather than by herself.
“It’s getting a little easier,” an insider told People. ”[She] still misses him every day.”
Fortunately Lea has plenty of friends, including the cast and crew Glee, who she can lean on during this difficult time.
“She talks about Cory all the time,” explains the source. “[She] doesn’t like to be alone. Her friends have really been helping her through it.”
We hope Lea’s new companion Pearl will also help her get through these tough times, and bring the actress some much-needed joy.
